Sylvia Lim on why it wasn’t an option for Raeesah Khan to come clean the day after repeating her lie

Workers’ Party chair Sylvia Lim on Monday (Dec 13) told the Committee of Privileges that she did not think it was an option to have Raeesah Khan clarify her untruth at a parliamentary sitting the next day as time was needed to structure her clarification and make sure she was comfortable with it. Ms Lim also explained in her testimony why she thought "haste" was "not wise, and we needed to do it calmly and with due deliberation."
