Minimum wage increase announcement faces criticism

Millions of the lowest paid workers will see a boost to their pay after the Treasury announced the National Living Wage will increase, as part of the autumn budget.

The study by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy involved around 200 participants, who were surveyed on a list of items and services they needed. That included housing and utilities, clothing, transport and education, among others.
