Greece imposes rolling fines to push COVID-19 vaccinations in older people

Greece has begun imposing recurring fines on those over the age of 60 who are unvaccinated against COVID-19 to try to boost inoculation in the most vulnerable age group even as infection rates from the fast-spreading Omicron variant are slowing.

Singapore rolls out COVID-19 vaccinations for Primary 1 to 3 students

Singapore has started vaccinating Primary 1 to 3 students against COVID-19. At least one paediatric vaccination centre is expecting demand for the jabs to go up, and is deploying more staff. It comes a day after the country’s coronavirus taskforce reiterated the importance of vaccinations ahead of an Omicron wave. Vaccinations will next be extended to all other children aged five to eight who have not received invitations.

COVID-19 vaccinations for Primary 4 to 6 students begin in Singapore

It was a smooth start to the first day of COVID-19 vaccinations for children in Primary 4 to 6 on Dec 27. Singapore’s Education Ministry said all 3,300 slots at seven paediatric vaccination centres were fully taken up. It comes after the shots were extended to children aged five to 11.
