Dr. Panossian’s Annual Mending Kids Mission Continues to Expand with the Inclusion of Teaching and Training

Dr. Andre Panossian — board member and founder of the Mending Kids annual medical mission in Armenia — is a renowned plastic surgeon and highly-respected philanthropist who offers his medical expertise in inner cities in the USA and in remote areas throughout the world. The Mending Kids medical mission offers teaching, education, medical instruments, and resources to surgeons in Armenia and consistently expands its outreach to better the lives of others.
Dr. Andre Panossian initiated the very first Mending Kids mission to Armenia in 2015 as an independent effort. Mending Kids’ Armenia mission provides reconstructive surgery at the children’s hospital (Arabkir) in the capital of Yerevan. Approximately 16 to 20 complex reconstructive surgeries are performed each week during the mission on underprivileged teens and children, including:
Complex cleft lip and palate deformitiesVascular birthmark removalFacial paralysis reconstructionNeurofibromatosis reconstructionCorrection of congenital hand and foot deformitiesTrauma and burn reconstruction
Dr. Panossian is a Harvard-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon and a first-generation Armenian-American who has a passion for international medical missions. The Armenia mission, under Dr. Panossian, has a strong educational component.
Mending Kids’ advanced surgeons are board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and train local Armenian doctors on technical aspects of complex reconstructive plastic surgery, including an annual lecture given by Dr. Panossian to medical students, residents, and practicing physicians in the area. Mending Kids’ surgeons maintain strong ties with local doctors and frequently review cases and perform postoperative follow-ups using telehealth technology. This educational effort is empowering local Armenian surgeons and physicians to advance their skills and better serve their patients and community.
Medical donations also provide crucial supplies and equipment, including sutures, fine instruments, drills, saws and other surgical power equipment, and magnification loupes for Armenian surgeons. Future missions are being planned with the hope of including smaller hospitals in rural locations, like Artsakh, which is on the outskirts of the country. Anyone can join as a volunteer or give donations toward the mission at mendingkids.org.
Dr. Panossian is passionate about helping others and frequently participates in medical missions providing reconstructive surgery for adults and children all over the world who have been affected by geographic isolation, natural disasters, unstable economies, devastating trauma, and birth defects. Dr. Panossian is also affiliated with Operation Smile and has been featured as a “Top Doc” in Pasadena Magazine. The doctor has served as an expert medical consultant for Grey’s Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, and The Doctors. Dr. Panossian has been annually nominated as a Los Angeles “Super Doctor” since 2012.

Partnership provides world-class expertise in smart city development and self-driving vehicles for urban environments.
Press Release – updated: Feb 5, 2020 04:55 PST

PASADENA, Calif., February 5, 2020 (Newswire.com) – COAST Autonomous (“COAST”) announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with DG Cities, an expert in smart city development that is a subsidiary of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London.
DG Cities and COAST will work together to provide consultancy services related to the design and implementation of transportation for people and/or goods using Autonomous Vehicles (“AVs”). “Electric shared AVs create the opportunity for cities to reinvent their environments and make them more liveable,” said Trevor Dorling, DG Cities, Managing Director. “Reducing the number of cars in urban centers will deliver many benefits and opportunities: improving air quality, allowing roads to be replaced with landscaping and car parks to be repurposed. We are excited to partner with COAST, as we share the same vision for cities, which the global discussion on air pollution and climate change is making more critical than ever. COAST’s unique technology, practical approach and ambition present a real opportunity to accelerate the take-up of autonomous vehicles and deliver benefits for cities and their citizens. Technology itself is not enough, and our expertise in smart city integration and design, alongside COAST’s capabilities in self-driving vehicles for urban environments, means we can offer a full service to clients looking to achieve meaningful impact.”
“We have been aware of DG Cities’ work in this area for some time. Their focus on cities and people aligns closely with our belief that autonomous vehicles must deliver real benefits for cities and their citizens,” said COAST CTO Pierre Lefevre. “Through our partnership, we are able to offer clients our world-leading technology and vehicles, alongside expert advice on how to utilize the technology to best address city needs. We are looking forward to working with DG Cities to identify exciting deployment opportunities and explaining to cities around the world how they can replace cars with COnnected Autonomous Shared Transportation and start to COAST!”

Do you want to transform your chronic overthinking to inner peace?

BRISBANE, Australia (PRWEB) February 04, 2020
Readers are invited to follow one woman’s journey of self-discovery in “Confessions of a Professional Overthinker” (published by Balboa Press AU).
After developing a bout of anxiety and depression post the birth of her only child, Kristy Riggall — an ex-nurse and behavioral science student — decided to go on a search-and-destroy mission to overcome and heal what was internally ailing her. As she delved into her subconscious, she realized the answer laid in the scripts she had downloaded in childhood. Creating havoc in her adult life. By sharing this personal journey of understanding her chronic overthinking addiction, she hopes to assist others who are going through the same challenge.
One of the harmful facet of the mind is overthinking — a symptom that Riggall believes causes disconnection and a battle between the subconscious and conscious minds. Often creating a cognitive dissonance. In “Confessions of a Professional Overthinker,” the author explains the source of overthinking and why people do it. Here, she sheds light on the root of anxiety and depression and encourages readers to isolate and consciously download the source of the internal stories through self-awareness.
“Your subconscious mind is built in early childhood,” the author explains. “Events and situations leave marks or scars, leading to anxiety, depression and incessant mind chatter in adulthood. Overthinking is a source of control. Control leads to anxiety, perfectionism and fear of the future. She believes if you are willing to change the way you think and download new internal stories, your life could become amazing and everything you ever dreamed of.”
“Confessions of a Professional Overthinker” shares simple, active steps on how to find peace and self-acceptance. It will assist readers in learning the art of balance, surrender, compassion and self-love.
