Roadmap to help furniture industry adapt to digital and sustainability demands

Local furniture makers and retailers will receive help to adapt to growing digital and sustainability demands. A roadmap rolled out by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council
will help the sector be more nimble to changes while offering consumers better products. It calls for greater collaboration not just within the sector, but other stakeholders as well. Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat was at the launch of the roadmap.

New hub to help Asian businesses and governments meet sustainability goals

Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu has cautioned policymakers against pushing ahead with initiatives that look glamorous but do not help from a systemic level. She said the Government must be very mindful about making the right decisions that use the system most effectively. Ms Fu said this at the launch of the Vivid sustainability innovation hub by global consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. It aims to advise businesses and governments in Asia on how to chart their sustainability transformation.

And I think a majority in both political parties want this climate crisis solved." He also remarks on the pledges and victories made at this conference and beyond, highlighting that "last year if you look at all of the new electricity generation built and installed worldwide, 90% of it was renewable. Virtually all of that wind and solar."

Five-day ASEAN Youth Fellowship to include discussions on sustainability, emerging opportunities
