Director of Medical Services Kenneth Mak on Saturday (Oct 23) urged Singapore’s younger population to get COVID-19 vaccinated: “For those who believe that you’re younger, and so do not need to get vaccinated because your chance of getting severely ill or needing ICU care is low, you should know that those infected with COVID-19 … carries a higher risk of needing oxygen supplementation ICU care or dying.” He also explained why it appears that the number of vaccinated COVID-19 cases needing hospitalisation is higher than the unvaccinated. https://cna.asia/2XANTRM
