A truck driver was sentenced earlier this week to 110 years in prison for a 2019 crash that left four people dead and several others injured in Colorado. By Friday, more than 3 million people had signed a petition, asking Colorado Governor Jared Polis to grant clemency to Rogel Aguilera-Mederos, or commutation for time served. CBSN Denver’s Rick Sallinger reports.

SC’s decision on Anti-Terror Law is based of the current petition — Atty. Sta. Maria

Atty. Mel Sta. Maria tells One PH’s #SaTotooLang the decision of the Supreme Court to declare certain parts of the Anti-Terrorism Law as unconstitutional is based on the current petitions, and petitioners can still appeal against the controversial law.
"You could always ask the Supreme Court to take a second look at the decision and arguments and try to point out to the SC what probably they had missed, alam mo naman, even ang Supreme Court nagbabaliktad ng desisyon nila," Atty. Sta. Maria adds.

Jakarta court accepts debt suspension petition filed against flag carrier Garuda

Indonesia’s massively indebted flag carrier Garuda is getting some respite. A local court has suspended its debt payments and will supervise the airline’s restructuring. Garuda has amassed $9.8 billion in debt and faces multiple lawsuits from aircraft leasing firms. The airline reported a record net loss of $2.4 billion in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the travel and aviation industry.
