The federal government is deploying dozens of additional U.S. military medical personnel to Michigan and New Mexico to support civilian health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. David Claeys, president of Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, joins CBSN’s Tanya Rivero to discuss what the addition of 22 medical professionals from the Department of Defense will mean for his team.

Sudan protesters doubt post-coup deal between military and Hamdok | DW News

Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok says he has dismissed the country’s police chiefs, in response to a brutal crackdown on protesters. More than 40 people were killed during demonstrations against last month’s military coup. Hamdok was reinstated as the civilian leader, but has signed a new agreement with the army. Many in Sudan are unhappy about the deal.
