Singapore’s manufacturing PMI dips to 50.8 in September

Singapore’s factory output expanded at a marginally slower pace in September, with the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) clocking in at 50.8 points. September’s PMI represented a drop of 0.1 point from August. This was due to slower expansion in new orders, output and inventory. Bucking the overall trend, the electronics sector PMI expanded for the 14th straight month, rising 0.2 points from August to hit its highest reading in 2021.
