Partners In Leadership Senior Partner Delivers Keynote at 2020 OPEX Week

OPEX Week 2020

All mergers and acquisitions look good on paper. However, they often fail to reach their full potential because of company culture cash.

TEMECULA, Calif. (PRWEB) January 22, 2020
Partners In Leadership, LLC, the firm that equips clients with a proven culture management framework to improve and sustain organizational performance, announces that Senior Partner Jared Jones to keynote at the COO & Chief Transformation Officer Summit during OPEX Week: Business Transformation World Summit 2020 in Champions Gate, Florida. During his keynote, “Don’t Let Culture Clash Sabotage Your Next Acquisition,” Jones explores how leaders manage culture before, during, and after an acquisition.
“All mergers and acquisitions look good on paper,” said Jones. “However, they often fail to reach their full potential because of company culture cash.”
Close to 52,000 mergers and acquisition deals were announced worldwide in 2018, with a total value of 4.09 trillion USD. According to multiple studies, some 70% to 90% of all acquisitions are “abysmal failures.”
These dire statistics result from a variety of common inadequacies, including ineffective risk management, unclear operational strategy, lack of communication between stakeholders, and poor project management. But there is another primary culprit which is often overlooked—the inability to integrate disparate company cultures. Research published in the International Journal of Innovation and Applied Studies confirms that misalignment between two company cultures is a prominent factor of acquisition failure.
Drawing from 30 years of successfully guiding cultural transitions and integrations in many of the world’s top companies, Jones provides his insights on how to make culture integration part of a corporation’s acquisition strategy.
“Culture informs the decisions organizational members make when two companies combine,” said Jones. “Effectively addressing culture integration, before, during, and after the M&A transaction streamlines the development and management of the new company.”
The OPEX Week: Business Transformation World Summit is the gold standard event for global business transformation and OPEX leaders and has been delivering insights into operational excellence and the holistic business transformation community for 21 years.
Jones’ keynote is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd at 9:30 a.m.
