Papoose on Love & Hip Hop, Remy Ma Prison Time, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne & Timbaland Song (Full Interview)

Papoose came through for his first VladTV interview in some years, and he started off by speaking about his new Timbaland-produced single “Thought I Was Gonna Stop” ft. Lil Wayne. From there, Papoose began to tell his story, including growing up in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and he also spoke about starting his rap career in the ‘90s. After speaking about linking up with Kool G Rap and appearing on his 1998 “Roots of Evil” album, Papoose spoke about dropping “Alphabetical Slaughter” and going to jail around the same time. Elsewhere in the interview, Papoose detailed signing his first major label deal, which he said was one of the worst mistakes he made. Papoose also spoke about meeting Remy Ma and being crushed when she went to prison, but Papoose detailed sticking by her side until she came home. In Adam22’s return to VladTV, he and DJ Vlad opened up by discussing the growth of No Jumper. After Adam revealed his channel reached the 4 million YouTube subcribers milestone, Vlad suggested the platform could surpass his in terms of YouTube subscribers. However, Adam argued that it will be difficult to match VladTV’s total numbers due to the differences in their rollout strategy. Adam and Vlad also talked about the both of them working together, as well as with DJ Akademiks, before explaining how working with peers has benefitted their businesses. In the latest clip, Papoose described Remy Ma’s release from prison after serving six years. Papoose admitted that her release wasn’t like he anticipated as his wife was unusually calm once she was finally freed. He also recalled the prison trying to break his wife’s spirit by refusing to let her go on her release date and keeping her for one more day. Papoose also explained why he and Remy Ma joined Love & Hip Hop shortly after her release from prison. He admitted that the both of them were battling misconceptions regarding their public image and felt appearing on the show would show them in a different light. He added that he made more money from the reality TV franchise than he did as a rapper. The clip concluded with Papoose talking about the release of his second album and finally seeing success in his music career years later.
