Going green and digital is being labelled as crucial to keep businesses competitive. There’s a warning that inequality among workers could grow in certain sectors, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to send shockwaves across the global talent landscape. Singapore has inched up to second place in the latest Global Talent Competitiveness Index. It is now ahead of the US and just behind Switzerland. Singapore has also maintained its top ranking within Asia.

Chinese companies have spent billions on similar ports in a number of countries, according to data compiled by conservative think tank AEI. Experts say the U.S. is offering no real competition for China when it comes to these ports worldwide.
