At least eight dead in Cameroon soccer stadium stampede

At least eight people have been killed and dozens injured in a crush at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The incident took place at the entrance to the Olembe stadium in the capital Yaounde. Reports indicate crowds tried to force their way into the stadium to watch Cameroon’s national team play Comoros. The game went ahead on schedule with fans inside the stadium unaware of the deadly scenes outside.

Thierry Mugler Dead at 73

Thierry Mugler has died. He was 73. The iconic French fashion designer’s work graced the runway and red carpet for decades. ‘#RIP We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr. Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022,’ his team wrote next a photo of a blank, black square. ‘May his soul Rest In Peace.’ Many celebrities are taking to social media to share tributes. Diana Ross tweeted a photo of her and Thierry. ‘I will miss you Thierry Mugler,’ she wrote. ‘This was a wonderful time in our lives.

Six people found dead in Milwaukee home

Six bodies were found in a Milwaukee home over the weekend. The police chief didn’t say if a suspect was among the dead, but he did say he doesn’t believe there’s an active threat against the community. Tanya Rivero has more.

Five people were found dead in a Milwaukee home Sunday in what police are investigating as multiple homicides, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office. (Jan. 24)

Prayers offered at Greenridge Crescent canal after siblings found dead in the area

Several people including the victims’ sister were seen on Saturday (Jan 22) offering prayers next to a canal in Greenridge Crescent in Upper Bukit Timah. This comes after two young boys were found dead near a playground in the area. CNA’s Cheryl Lin with more from the scene.
