He recalled receiving a hint that his brother would win after a media network requested to film his reaction once the winner was announced. Omar admitted to thinking his brother would lose to Edward Norton, who was nominated for his role in "Primal Fear." He took great pride in his brother’s win and felt the award was a win for Black actors and people, as a whole. Despite his brother’s win, Omar stated that he didn’t feel any pressure to follow in his brother’s footsteps and win an Oscar as well.

In this clip, Omar Gooding opened up about growing up in the Los Angeles-area with his two siblings, including his brother, Cuba Gooding Jr. From there, Omar spoke about his father, Cuba Gooding Sr., being the lead singer of the group The Main Ingredient, who are known for their hit song, "Everybody Plays the Fool." Despite his success, Omar revealed that his father was blacklisted after going to South Africa during apartheid. After falling on hard times, the Gooding family was homeless, which Omar says didn’t really bother him as much because it was all he knew. Cuba begins vaccinating children from the age of two with locally developed vaccines | DW News

Cuba has become the first country in the world to vaccinate children from the age of two against COVID-19. Scientists there have come up with several vaccine options, which the government says are highly effective. The move is part of a drive to re-open schools again. Cuba first raised eyebrows when it said would manufacture it’s own Covid19 vaccine. Now the Caribbean Island is the first country in the world to begin vaccinating toddlers against Covid19.
