Diners at coffee shops and food courts now have to return their trays after their meal. Officers deployed by the Singapore Food Agency have issued around 230 advisories to errant diners. Enforcement takes effect in January.

Family courts should be more open, says top judge

A "change of culture" is needed to improve confidence in family courts, the top family court judge in England and Wales has said.

Sir Andrew McFarlane has made landmark recommendations which could mean journalists can report "all that they see and hear" at family courts for the first time.

He added that open justice is a fundamental right, and there is a strong public interest in more openness.
