Recent release “Blessings for the Animal Nations” from Covenant Books author David Abrams is a captivating collection of readings to use when grieving the loss of an animal companion. David believes that animals are also part of this world—they also need love and care just like humans.
Press Release – updated: Jan 3, 2020 06:00 EST

KANAB, Utah, January 3, 2020 (Newswire.com) – David Abrams is a teacher and a guide who felt his purpose in life is to share spirituality with all who are interested in learning. He has completed his new book, “Blessings for the Animal Nations”: a helpful collection of readings created to help comfort those who are experiencing the loss of a companion, especially at the time of burial or placement.
David writes, “The title, Blessings for the Animal Nations, refers to the fact that animals are a nation only different because of the number of legs and or appearance. Our companions become a part of our family, and their loss is no less than a human family member.
“Our animal companions are a safe love for us and allow us to love them unconditionally. The love we feel for our animal companions is as close as we will ever come to unconditional love as our companions love us unconditionally—in spite of our shortcomings.
“This love is probably as close as most of us will experience in our lifetimes, thereby getting a glimpse of the unconditional love our Creator has for us. As human beings, we generally love conditionally.”

Author Ramon D. 'Ray' Hansen's New Book '30- My Newspaper Life' is the Compelling Memoir of an Old-School Newspaperman Reflecting Upon a Career Spanning Seven Decades

Ramon D. “Ray” Hansen, a retired reporter, editor and newspaper publisher, has completed his fourth book which covers almost seven decades of his remarkable newspaper career. “30 — MY NEWSPAPER LIFE,” was recently released by Page Publishing Company, New York City.
Press Release – updated: Jan 3, 2020 03:00 EST

OLATHE, Kan., January 3, 2020 (Newswire.com) – Mr. Hansen, a native of Bloomfield, Nebraska, grew up in the years of the Great Depression then enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 after reading what the Japanese did to American captives during the Bataan Death March. He spent the war years in the Seabees building airbases on the island of Guam.
Upon returning from overseas, he immediately enrolled at the University of Nebraska School of Journalism. Working nights at the Lincoln Star, he graduated in three years, on D-Day, 1949.
In 1950, a job covering the U.S. Senate took him to Washington, D.C. He spent 10 years in Washington, during which time he saved $10,000. He took that money to Wisconsin and bought his first newspaper, which he printed with hot lead, via Linotype and a flat-bed press. After five years, he sold the newspaper for more than twice what he had paid for it.
Then came the offset revolution with cold type and expensive web presses. Hansen details his career that followed on newspapers in Nebraska, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, and finally in New York, where in his later years he managed a weekly for a small chain of dailies.
In all, he owned two weekly newspapers, one semi-weekly and one small daily. In his book, he tells what it was like to make a newspaper successful in the turbulence of the times while also raising a family. His story is told with flair and honesty and would be most valuable to young people contemplating a career in the weekly newspaper field.
Readers who wish to experience this engaging work can purchase “30- My Newspaper Life” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes & Noble.

Crystal M. Davis’s newly released “Feeding the Multitudes” is a compelling guide for people who have felt their calling to reach out and lend helping hands

MEADVILLE, Pa. (PRWEB) November 25, 2019
“Feeding the Multitudes”: a brilliant key towards learning about the importance of faith and servitude as the author shares her true-to-life stories in building a ministry illuminated by God’s grace. “Feeding the Multitudes” is the creation of published author Crystal M. Davis, a founding executive director and VP of the Community Hope Center from 1988 to 2006. Volunteering allowed her to gain national recognition and win numerous awards. It has been a major part of her service to the communities where she has lived. She now continues to seek God’s will in how she can best reach her community.
Davis shares, “Think about being the only person in your church who has a burning desire to help those who are less fortunate with food and clothing, but no one knows what to do with you, and no one is tuned into your ideas. Yet, you don’t give up until you find out that there are no books to read or people who know anything about the subject of opening a food pantry. Then you decide that it is time to go outside of the church to get help. But where do you start and who understands? You take trips to other pantries and comingle with those who have a like vision, but still, that isn’t enough. What is lacking is the knowledge of all of those particulars needed to begin opening a not-for-profit charity. So you decide to go to the library, and still, no books on the subject. Looking through the World Wide Web, you find a few books that are for lawyers by lawyers on how to incorporate a charity but still nothing on how to open a food pantry.
“This is why Feeding the Multitudes was written—to provide knowledge on how to incorporate a not for profit charity and give future pantry directors the encouragement they need to get their own food pantry opened. Feeding the Multitudes will be the catalyst that will cause people nationwide to open their own food pantry ministry. Families are financially depressed in thousands of communities throughout America where there is a dire need for a food pantry. Within the pages of this book is the knowledge of all the details, (fundraising, advertising, building and office needs), for your endeavor along the way to opening your own food pantry. Feeding the Multitudes will become a keepsake in the library of many churches or a reference book for everyone to enjoy. When you reach out to those who are less fortunate, God’s hand then reaches out with yours.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Crystal M. Davis’s new book is a helpful read that will guide others effectively in reaching their communities the same way as God has allowed Davis to reach her own community.
