SG Pulse: Companies likely to stick with hybrid work arrangements beyond COVID-19

As vaccinations are rolled out and Singapore looks to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, companies said they are likely to stick to hybrid work arrangements. Human resource surveys conducted in 2020 showed around 70% of Singapore’s workers prefer flexible work arrangements.

Employers should consider flexible work arrangements, even as workers gradually return to the office. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah said that’s one way to transform workplaces as the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic. She was speaking at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs’ ASEAN & Asia Focus 2021: Partnerships in Economic Recovery and Sustainable Infrastructure forum. Ms Indranee added that this hybrid work model will let workers care for their families better.
