Billy Tipton was a trans jazz musician who rose to prominence in the 1940s and 1950s, only to be outed after his death and become fodder for daytime talk shows. The documentary No Ordinary Man reexamines Tipton, using contemporary trans performers to take a deeper look at his life and legacy.
