New common registry to provide accessibility to certified ESG data

Initiatives to make green financing easier were announced at the Singapore FinTech Festival. It includes digital platforms to let companies share and report data on environmental, social and governance efforts. Among these is a common registry to store companies’ ESG certification audited by third parties in a single place. This means banks can verify and trace the ESG impact of firms along the supply chain. The registry aims to help those that comply with ESG requirements to secure financing for their projects more easily.
