MOU to boost research, training and product innovation to better treat chronic wounds in Singapore

A new agreement between Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and the Skin Research Institute of Singapore will focus on research, training and product innovation to better treat chronic wounds such as bed sores and diabetic foot ulcers. The tie-up comes after a study of elderly patients at TTSH found that chronic wounds can increase 2.4 times the time spent in hospital. Chronic wounds are those that take over a month to heal.
