MAS to consider action against DBS as bank suffers second day of its worst tech outage

The central bank is considering action against DBS, as Singapore’s biggest lender battles its worst outage in over a decade. The Monetary Authority of Singapore expects DBS to conduct a thorough investigation. Digital services are down for the second day in a row. DBS serves about five million customers in Singapore. This is the first time in over a decade that it has faced a disruption of this scale. In 2010, customers could not withdraw cash or make payments for seven hours.
