Landscape workers will see pay increase from 2023 under progressive wage model

Landscape maintenance workers in Singapore can expect wages to go up over six years, starting from 2023. The latest update to the sector’s progressive wage model will benefit more than 3,000 workers in various roles. It will be compulsory for firms to raise wages between 5.5% and 7.2% each year. That means a landscape worker earning about $1,650 in 2022 could take home close to $2,400 by 2028. A new specialist track will also be added to the wage scheme in two years. It’s for those who want to deepen expertise in horticulture, but may not want to become supervisors.
