Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat said investment in nature can be a new asset class, like in agriculture and crops, if properly structured. He was speaking at Ecosperity Week, an annual sustainability event by Temasek. Meanwhile, Temasek has pledged $3 million to support a new five-year research programme focusing on blue carbon — carbon captured by coastal ecosystems like mangroves — which can help in preventing climate change.
