Singapore’s forthcoming White Paper on gender equality should set out a clear and comprehensive plan for government policies and laws to achieve its aims. That’s the call issued by head of the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) Corinna Lim. She’s the first civil society activist to hold the position of S R Nathan Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS). Ms Lim added that one of the most substantive actions that the authorities can take when it comes to gender equality is to make it part of the Constitution and National Pledge.
