Former minister Sanae Takaichi to seek party leadership in Japan

The prospect of Japan getting its first female prime minister is now open as the leadership race heats up. Former internal affairs minister Sanae Takaichi has declared her candidacy. In a news conference, she laid out her "three arrows" of economic policy – an easy monetary policy, flexible fiscal spending, and investment in crisis management and growth areas.
