Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said ASEAN is disappointed at the "very, very slow progress" with regard to the situation in Myanmar. He made the comments after attending a Special ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in the Chinese city of Chongqing. Two ASEAN envoys met with the military chief in Naypyidaw last week. Meanwhile, Dr Balakrishnan added that discussions are ongoing for Singapore and China to mutually recognise COVID-19 vaccination certificates in the interest of reviving cross-border travel.
